报告题目：Cloud Scheduling: New Models and New Algorithms
内容简介：Motivated by the current research in data centers and cloud computing, we introduce a new model that studies the problems of scheduling a set of two-stage clients on multiple two-stage servers. We present deeper study on the structures of the problem that leads to new approaches to designing scheduling algorithms on the model. Under different optimization objectives, such as minimizing the scheduling makespan and maximizing the profit with given deadlines, we present efficient algorithms for the problems and study their performance.
报告人简介：陈建二，中南大学计算机科学专业本科毕业，美国纽约大学计算机科学博士，美国哥伦比亚大学数学博士。国际期刊《Journal of Computer and System Sciences》和《IEEE Transactions on Computers》编委、以及《中国科学：信息科学》和《计算机学报》编委。现任广州大学计算机学院二级教授。国家自然科学基金委杰出青年基金（B类）获得者，教育部长江学者特聘教授，教育部长江学者创新团队带头人。获教育部高等学校自然科学一等奖（排名第1）。主持多项国家自然科学基金委和教育部的重点项目和面上项目。研究领域包括计算机算法设计分析和应用研究、计算复杂性理论、生物信息学和计算机图形学。
